This winter is killing my skin…
Usually our winters aren’t too bad but I think living in a warmer, more humid climate, and then coming back to a colder, dryer climate has seriously thrown my skin into wack. I can’t stand feeling so dry and flakey (gross, sorry) so I finally decided to do something about it. I went shopping. Oops. But actually I feel like the purchases were complete valid because they’ve made such a huge difference! My skin has gone from, well to put it nicely, nasty, to actually feeling like velvet.
Clinique Moisture Surge:
Now this is about the pinnacle of a blogger holy product. I’ve heard nothing but praise in regards to this product over the many years I’ve been blogging, so finally I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased the moisturizer. After a few weeks of continual use, I can genuinely say I understand why this is such a loved product. This moisturizer has made such a difference to my face. I have combination skin so it’s oily in some places and very dry in others, which can make finding a suitable moisturizer difficult. Some moisturizers are great for the dry portions or my face but make the oily portions to police and vise versa, it’s a difficult balancing act. The Clinique Moisture Surge provides that balance; it moisturizer the drier sections of my face without making the oily parts of my face too oily.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea:
Ah, my man Mario. Great brand, great products, and this one is no exception! I really like using this spray in the morning, because its a great way to inject some moisture into my face and wake my skin up a little. I particularly like this scent because it’s super refreshing and invigorating, which is exactly what my dry skin needs.
Lano Intense Rose Hand Cream:
Another holy grail product that has earned it’s place in the blogger hall of fame. The Land Rose Hand Cream is the hand lotion I break out when my dry skin gets really bad. The cream is super thick, and seriously packs a punch when it comes to hydration. I usually use this hand cream before bed and let it works it’s magic over night. It’s really made a difference! I’m not usually a fan of rose scented products because I find that the smell can be quite strong and overpowering. This is definitely not the case with this hand cream, while I can definitely smell the rose, it’s not too strong.
Jouer Conditioning Lip Treatment:
I happened upon this little gem in one of my Birchbox boxes. I haven’t taken much of a look at Jouer products but after trying (and adoring) this product, I’m definitely going to be trying some more of their products. The lip treatment is super moisturizing and I’ve found that it keeps my lips from being chapped for most of the day. I’ve had this tiny tube for months and I haven’t used it all up yet!
If you struggle with dry skin during the winter, I highly recommend trying any one of these products out. They’ve really made such a difference to my skin, I can’t imagine going back to a time when I didn’t use them!
